My last post on this blog...

This wonderful Blogger-blog has done an amazing job for the last year and half, but it's time to move on. This will be my last post here. I have created a new customized blog that I have complete control over. I just really love it. It's far from done, but I'm hoping within the next week or so it's just the way I want it :) I am not deleting this blog for a lot of reasons, but I will no longer be using it. My brand spanking new blog can be found here

or at the top left of the page with the other links

I'm really excited for all the new things happening. I'm finishing up all waiting orders, those who are waiting for your galleries, I am putting them up this week. I want to have a clean slate starting next Monday :) I was hoping for a new website to go along with my new blog, but some unfortunate events have brewed from that transaction, so while I'll be sticking with my current website, I have found many ways to improve it. I've added shopping carts to each gallery. It allows you to pick your prints and collections, you have the option to pay online via paypal. I have stated this on my new blog, but I am no longer excepting any sessions (with the exception of newborns) for the month of August. I have some amazing things that I will be launching in September, great deals, wonderful products, I have someone joining my team who is going to help me stay on top of all of my projects, she is a wonderful office assistant. Great things are coming, I can hardly wait...

A HUGE thanks to all of my clients this past year, you guys are amazing and I would be NO where without your patience and understanding. Everyone of you has played a role in helping me develope my style and to find my "business groove".
Thanks so much everyone!

We are off on our last vacation of the year...

We are offically packed and ready to go on our last vacation of the summer. I will be gone until Sunday August 9th. We will have zero phone or internet connection(not sure how myself or my hubby will survive, lol). We are off to Algonquin Park. It's one of our FAVORITE places to visit. If you ever get the chance, go, you won't regret it. We go every year, and we love it every time we go. Book early, we had to book in March to get this site, it's a VERY popular vacation spot!

A blog post really isn't a blog post without a pictue. Here are a few from our vacation last week in North Carolina, it's my beautiful family.

{I got a new lens, I was dying to try it out :) }

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

A Cross In The Distance...

I'm still on vacation, but I really needed to post. My mother in law and I decided to embark on a HUGE hike up a very steep mountain. It was absolutely, bar none the most physically challenging adventure I've ever done. While up there, of course I decided to take pictures. I saw this tree in a distance that reminded me of a cross. I even said to Shirley, "look, a cross in the distance, that is pretty amazing, I wonder if it's a sign or something"
Once we decended down the mountain, I don't know why, but I checked my phone. My sister had left me a text that an incredible woman we know had passed. My sister had a very special bond with her, so I feel terrible that I can't be there for her. I will be home on Sunday, but I can't be there TODAY for her. My heart is saddened and I feel so much sympathy for the Leonard family. Debra will be missed by so many, myself included, she is one of a kind.
I DO think this tree was a sign, a sign that Debra is at peace and is no longer in pain or suffering, she has made her journey home...

I Will Be On Vacation...

It will be some what of a working vacation, but vacation none the less :) I will be leaving today at 12pm and returning on Sunday July 27th. I will be able to check my internet periodically and I am unsure of the reception I will be able to get a top the mountains we'll be staying on, however my cell phone will be on. We are so excited to be able to get away, our last mini-vacation we took ended abruptly due to a family emergency. While things still aren't great with my step-father, we're still praying and hoping for a miracle that he'll be able to pull through. I will be working hard on finishing up my last two weddings and my latest newborn session(probably during the 14 hour drive to the Carolina's, lol)
Have a great week!

Thought I would share a picture from our mini-vacation last week while we were at the beach :)
I'm so blessed.

An Intimate Wedding With A Lovely Couple...

I can't tell you how excited I was when I arrived at our first meeting and found out that the location of their wedding was going to be at this AMAZING house, owned by their very good friends Peter and Ricky. The wedding was very intimate, and there was attention paid to EVERY detail. Everything about this day was gorgeous. The love and thought that went into their wedding was incredible and I am so honoured that I got to be a part of it.
I want to personally, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all. Mike, Ana, Ricky & Peter THANK YOU so much, I left feeling like a friend:)

A Beautiful Wedding With A Beautiful Couple...

I had the best time on Friday. Thank you so much Sean and Carrie. I wish you both lots of love and a long, happy, healthy marriage. As you can tell, I had a heck of a time narrowing down your sneak peek.

About Me

London, Ontario, Canada
I have loved photography for a long time, but it really kicked into gear with the birth of my first child. I was seeing first hand how quickly she was reaching those oh-so precious milestones. I wanted to capture those moments and freeze them in time. I was able to accomplish this with my camera. With the birth of each of my children it occurred to me more and more that there were very few options for professional portraits that allowed my childrens personalities to shine. Of course there were the traditional chain portrait studios, but that wasn't my family or our style. This began my journey from being a mom with a camera to a photographer. Whether it's the essence of your growing belly, the innocence of your newborn or the curiosity of your child, I look foward to helping you create portraits that reflect you and your family's style.
