Just One...

A boy and his momma...

As a photographer I strive to capture emotion and love. I want to tell a story about each family that I get the opportunity to shoot. Of course on top of all of that, I want a technically sound portrait. I want the lighting to be nice and even, the composition to fall into the rule of thirds, I want all the things your "taught" to do to take the perfect picture.

This picture broke all of those rules. But you know what? I love it! This is my favorite picture of the session. Although technically it could be better(my light didn't fire ;o), the love that this little guy has for his momma beems through the blissful smile on his face. Although I did get lots of smiles through the session, this was the most genuine, comfortable, natural smile.

Why you ask?

Because, it's a boy with his momma :o)

About Me

London, Ontario, Canada
I have loved photography for a long time, but it really kicked into gear with the birth of my first child. I was seeing first hand how quickly she was reaching those oh-so precious milestones. I wanted to capture those moments and freeze them in time. I was able to accomplish this with my camera. With the birth of each of my children it occurred to me more and more that there were very few options for professional portraits that allowed my childrens personalities to shine. Of course there were the traditional chain portrait studios, but that wasn't my family or our style. This began my journey from being a mom with a camera to a photographer. Whether it's the essence of your growing belly, the innocence of your newborn or the curiosity of your child, I look foward to helping you create portraits that reflect you and your family's style.
